- Assist the priests with Mass including Funeral and Wedding Masses.
- Allows children, young people, and adults to learn about the Mass and be more active in our parish worship and serve our parishioners.
Is it for me?
- If you can follow directions, you can serve at the altar.
- The level of physical fitness needed requires you to be able to stand, walk, carry items securely, and be able to walk up and down three to four steps.
- If you want to learn more about the Mass and the items used by the priests, this ministry is a great way to enhance personal worship.
- Altar servers provide an essential service to priests and fellow parishioners.

Who leads the ministry?
- Associate Pastor
Will I be trained?
- Yes! Initial training is provided.
- Procedures for special Masses (weddings and funerals) will be taught individually as needed.
- You will learn from other altar servers you serve with and your own experience.
Are there meetings?
- For ongoing formation and fellowship, we have up to three get-togethers each year.
What is my time commitment?
- Schedules are based on your individual availability for Mass times, days, and frequency.
- Servers should arrive in the Sacristy approximately a half hour before the Mass time.
What is expected of a member?
- Your attendance is very important. We ask you to adhere to the dates and times you are scheduled.
- If a replacement is needed in an emergency, the server should find a substitute, if possible.
- Altar servers should dress appropriately for service at the Mass.
